Girls in Engineering (Gn3) is a vibrant student-led club founded in 2022 under the FANUSI umbrella, dedicated to empowering female students in engineering and other technical disciplines such as computer science. Gn3’s mission is to bridge the gap between students and industry professionals by fostering meaningful connections, mentorship and real-world experience. 

The club is run primarily by engineering students from the University of Nairobi, with an inclusive focus on supporting women pursuing STEM careers. GN3 organizes impactful social and technical projects that benefit local communities — including initiatives in Kilifi and Kibera and recently completed the first phase of a project to solarise Tewa School, bringing sustainable energy solutions to underserved areas. 

Through networking events, professional linkages, hands-on projects and partnerships, Gn3 nurtures leadership, technical confidence and career development for its members while inspiring more girls to join and thrive in engineering and technology fields.
