This 9-month leadership development programme for female university students is designed to support personal growth, professional development, and purposeful leadership. The course guides participants through a transformative journey that helps them clarify their ambitions, align them with a meaningful vision, and build the confidence to lead in their academic, professional, and community lives.
The programme begins with self-discovery, enabling students to identify their strengths, values, and areas for growth. Participants explore common barriers to self-development, strengthen time-management skills, and learn how to build a strong personal brand and healthy professional relationships.
Students will engage with Kenyan and regional leaders through a community engagement panel, gaining real-world insights from diverse leadership experiences across sectors. Practical learning is reinforced through a hands-on leadership project, allowing participants to apply their skills to real challenges and make a positive impact.
The programme concludes with a graduation ceremony, celebrating each participant’s growth and recognising their transformation into a confident, purpose-driven leader ready to thrive in today’s professional environment.
Module I of the Rise and Lead program was held in 2024/2025 and had 30 graduates.
